Always concerned with being well understood, professor emeritus and Valencia native, Eng. José Medem, current president of the World Federation of Engineering Organizations, was one of the speakers during the 60th SOEAA held in Brasilia. Currently living in Madrid, he came to Brazil exclusively to participate in the event that celebrated 70 years of the Confea/Crea system. He has been awarded an honorary doctorate from the University of Bringston, in Great Britain, and one of his most recent displays of appreciation for the class that he represents worldwide and in Brazil was his work to secure the realization of the II World Congress of Engineers in Brazil in 2008. In this exclusive interview with the Confea magazine, he spoke about social inequality, environmental awareness, the importance of women in the workforce and unequal consumption of natural resources.

     Siempre preocupado en ser comprendido, el profesor catetrático, nacido en Valencia, ingeniero José Medem, actual presidente de la Federación Mundial de las Organizaciones de Ingeniería, fue uno de los panelistas durante la 60ª SOEAA realizada en Brasília. Actualmente viviendo en Madrid, vino exclusivamente a Brasil para participar del evento que celebró los 70 años del Sistema Confea/Crea. Es doctor honoris causa por la Universidad de Bringston, en Gran Bretaña, y una de sus más recientes demostraciones de aprecio por la clase que representa mundialmente y por Brasil fue la articulación para realizar el II Congreso Mundial de los Ingenieros en territorio nacional, en el 2008.
